Alter bv

Restaurant ALTER is located in the former municipal school of Riksingen, close to the historic center of Tongeren. Under the leadership of chef Jo Grootaers and his wife Lana Kelchtermans, the restaurant offers a contemporary gastronomic experience where pure ingredients take center stage. Jo cooks with great sensitivity and dares to combine classic flavors with surprising, modern accents. Every dish is refined, pure, and clear, with respect for the product. Guests can enjoy a carefully curated menu, complemented by matching wine pairings or an alcohol-free pairing. The warm setting, creative cuisine, and personal approach make ALTER a special destination for lovers of gastronomy and culinary discoveries.
